As the leaves make one final drop, the skies darken way too soon & families gather for their Thanksgiving feast, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible sense of community that defines our little beach haven. We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving with particular appreciation to the 257 households who joined POENB this year. That figure is yet another record year and we hope to continue to grow further.

The purpose of POENB is to care for and maintain our beautiful beaches. We cannot do it without the support of our members. New Neckers should realize that unlike most beach associations, which have mandatory dues, POENB is non-compulsory. If nobody joins, we have no funds to replenish the beaches after a wash out. Or replace the fence. Or upgrade the electric. Or hold a Halloween Parade for the kids. Member dues are critical to carrying our mission of protecting and preserving this amazing place we call home. So, it doesn’t really matter if you ever attend a party or a parade or own a kayak. If you live here, please consider your membership an investment in the place you’re lucky enough to call home.

We have completed many beach improvements this year and plan on adding to that list in the years to come. If you didn’t join in 2023, please make 2024 the year that you do. Your continued support will keep Eaton’s Neck beautiful.
