The following statement is from the Town of Huntington Highway Department and was sent May 31 2022: The Town’s drainage contractor is currently preparing locations for drainage structure installation which we were informed today would start on Wednesday June 1st. The work will provide drainage structures throughout the Carlisle Drive neighborhood.
Please join us at our next POENB meeting which will be held in-person at the Eaton’s Neck Fire House on Friday February 4th 2022 at 7:30 pm. At that meeting, we will conduct a Key Issue Vote to approve the proposed 2022 Budget. Voting will be conducted in-person with one vote per member household and the issue shall be carried by a simple majority of votes cast. Please wear a mask. All Watercraft Must Be Removed Now. Thank you. The POENB Board has spent a lot of time trying to re organize our watercraft system so that those who need a spot will have the ability to request one as part of their membership. For the convenience of all, we allow the assigned spot to be occupied for two years. Every two years, however, all craft within our membership allotment system (kayaks dinghy’s, paddleboards) must be brought home so the racks can be inspected, maintenance performed and spots re shuffled to prevent squatting. The Corcoran Family Trust is seeking to legalize several structures on their property which sit adjacent to POENB’s Valley Grove Beach. Per Zoning Board rules nearby neighbors were notified but, as Valley Grove Beach is owned by all members, the POENB Board is making the notice available for all to read. After an initial postponement, the Town of Huntington has rescheduled a virtual hearing for Thursday May 6 at 6:00 pm.
