Dear Eaton’s Neck Friends, Family & Neighbors,
I want to begin this month’s note by thanking everyone who helped to make this year’s July 4th Parade a wonderful time for all. From Chief John Pokorny and his team at the Fire Department to the members of the Eaton’s Neck community and the POENB Board who joined forces to host a truly awesome parade and barbecue befitting our country’s independence, everyone’s efforts were greatly appreciated.
A month has passed since our last Changing Tides, and we are in the midst of what has turned out to be a great summer. Our beaches are packed, the streets are filled with local kids, and as you walk around the neighborhood, you can hear the joyous sounds of families having fun in their backyards and pools. If there was ever a season that captures the essence of Eaton’s Neck, it is the summer months.
We have a number of fun events planned in the weeks and months ahead, from the Friday night BBQs to a movie night later this summer. Please keep an eye out and join us if you are free.
Lastly, I encourage anyone who has time to join us at our monthly POENB meetings, typically held at the Eaton’s Neck Fire House. You can always check the POENB Facebook page for dates and times or email the POENB Board to determine the exact date and time.
With warm regards,
Thomas J. Kehoe, Jr.
