Dee Neighbors,
Our 2026 POENB Membership Drive is underway!
The POENB Board thanks the 236 households who joined our Association in 2025.
Your support has been extraordinary and we look forward to welcoming your household
back in 2026.
POENB serves as the steward of Valley Grove and Price’s Bend beaches and has been
tasked with protecting and maintaining these properties through critical beach
improvement projects. Your membership dues make such improvements possible.
In 2025, POENB membership dues enabled us to (1) replace benches and grills at
Valley Grove and Price’s Bend, (2) refurbish the shed at Price’s Bend, and (3) conduct
weekly beach maintenance and beautification activities including landscaping, garbage
collection, sand racking, port-a-potty rental, and various erosion protection activities.
While not funded by membership dues (it was 100% funded by voluntary donations),
POENB also installed a security gate at Price’s Bend.
We plan to do even more in 2026 to enhance the natural beauty of our beaches and
improve selected amenities (watercraft storage racks).
As you know, only homes in the POENB region are eligible to become POENB
members. Currently, nearly 60% of Eaton’s Neck households voluntarily decide to
join POENB. While good, the Board believes that it is not good enough.
When making a decision to join, please don’t only consider whether your household
uses the beaches or not. Consider other factors. If you believe the beaches bring
serenity to your life and add value to your property and the public safety and welfare
advocacy and social events, improve your quality of life and provide a sense of
community, we hope you conclude that POENB is worthy of your support.
Now is the time to join.
By becoming a dues paying member for the first time or renewing your membership,
your household will enjoy the following benefits through March 31st, 2027:
● Access to all activities and amenities at our members-only beaches at Price’s
Bend and Valley Grove. Activities include bathing, boating, relaxing,
socializing and recreating. Amenities include watercraft storage, grills, picnic
tables and benches, a parking lot (at PB only after paying a one-time security
deposit), a designated swimming area (identified by swim lines), wifi, grills, a
playset for children, a port-a-pot (in season), an outdoor shower/washing
facility and a trash disposal facility (garbage cans and a dumpster), among
other conveniences.
● Advocacy on Town of Huntington and NY State matters that affect Eaton’s
Neck residents (permanently repairing the Bevin Seawall to ensure safe
vehicle passage).
● Entry to fun POENB-sponsored events: Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Event,
Movie Nights on the Beach, Halloween Parade and Party, Community Garage
Sale and more.
● The Changing Tides Community Newsletter delivered to your mailbox 10 times
