Need a kayak or dinghy for the 2026 season?
POENB is holding our abandoned watercraft sale from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11th 2026 at the Shed at Prices Bend Beach
An important note about our abandoned watercraft sale:
POENB is holding our abandoned watercraft sale reluctantly, and ONLY as a last resort with proceeds going into the general use fund for the betterment of POENB members, rather than being earmarked for a specific purpose.
Please know:
We would have much preferred for watercraft owners to have picked up their watercraft rather than abandon them.
POENB has made repeated efforts over the last year to try and notify our entire POENB membership and the local general public about our abandoned watercraft to warn them well in advance of this possible sale in accordance with our own POENB guidelines, rules and regulations as well all all local and NY State laws.
Our efforts have included physically tagging each abandoned watercraft, doing direct email blasts, making various social media posts and posting notices in the Changing Tides publication – All well in advance of their removal from the POENB watercraft racks.
Again, this sale is being held reluctantly, and only as a last resort after many reasonable efforts to avoid having to host this sale.
All abandoned watercraft are being sold “As is” with no warranty, guarantee or claim of any kind. This means the watercraft is being sold in its current condition, including any existing faults, without guarantees regarding leaks, quality, performance, or repairs. The buyer accepts full responsibility for all repairs, risks, and potential issues immediately upon purchase. You may visually inspect the watercraft in-person before purchase. All sales are for cash only and all sales are final. Thank you for your understanding.
